Hace mucho no subía nada nuevo en mi blog, pero ha sido solo porque hay un montón de cosas nuevas que apareceran muy pronto en la página: ilustraciones, pinturas, diseño y aún más. Mientras tanto les cuento que las galerías de portafolio, proyectos y de perfil están siendo actualizadas. Además, ahora tengo Tumblr, con el cual me he divertido mucho, si tienen uno, no duden en seguirme.
Una vez más, dejo unos bocetos mientras subo todo lo que tengo que actualizar. Reconozco que el color que menos me gusta es el rosado, pero había algo en este dibujo que me decía que debía utilizar justo ese color. ¡Espero les guste!
Por último, los invito a este blog de pintura que descubrí hace poco, artinconnu se trata de mostrar y de recordar aquellos pintores que tuvieron obras maravillosas pero que han sido olvidados muy pronto. Pueden visitar el flickr, seguirlo por twitter o simplemente visitar el blog.

It’s been so long since I upload something new on the blog, but there is a bunch of new stuff that will appear very soon on the web page: illustrations, paintings, design and much more. For now, I tell you that the portfolio, project and about pages are updated. Also, now I have Tumblr, and I’ve had a lot of fun; if you have one, follow me!
Once more, I leave some sketches while I upload all the stuff I need to update. I recognize that I don’t like pink color, but something on this drawing told me I should use pink. Hope you like it!

Existe un país, llamado Daren o ‘El país de los hombres grandes’, cuyos habitantes están treinta y ocho años en los vientres de sus madres, y luego nacen; y nacen con el pelo cano y el cuerpo ya crecidos. No saben andar, pero sí subirse a nubes e ir así de lugar en lugar. Tal vez sean una variedad de Dragón. En fin, dicho país está exactamente a catorce mil li del conocido monte Guiqui.

Veamos, hace mucho no escribía. Sin embargo, he estado un poco ocupada trabajando en algunas pruebas de color en óleo, boceteando y haciendo un poco de pintura digital. Además, abrí una cuenta en Deviantart, ha sido muy interesante pero aún soy completamente nueva en esto, pero ha sido increíble conocer tantos artistas tan talentosos allí.

Let’s see. Long time not writing. I’ve been a little bit bussy working in some color testing with oil, sketching and doing some digital painting. Also, I opened a Deviantart account, It’s been really interesting but I’m a completely newbie; it’s been amazing to meet so many artist with great talent there, anyway.

No he escrito como había prometido, pero al menos este es un post largo y con varias imágenes.
La última semana fue absolutamente increíble, pues fue el concierto de Coldplay y por el hecho de tener más años.
En cuanto a mi cumpleaños, gracias a todos los que se acordaron y me escribieron. Y en cuanto al concierto de Coldplay solo tengo que decir que fue absolutamente fascinante, las luces, las cámaras, el sonido, la lluvia de mariposas y el hecho de haberlos tenido a menos de 2 mt de distancia. Aunque no tomé fotos, hice esta ilustración para aquellos que estuvieron ahí y para los que no, igual espero que les guste.
Los dejo con unas imágenes, y los invito a la galería de Sonia Pérez y vean su nuevo producto… ¡unas hermosas postales!

I have not written as I promised, but at least this is a long post and has lots of images.
Last week was absolutely amazing: Coldplay’s concert in Bogotá and the
fact that now I have more years.
On my birthday, thanks to everyone who remembered it and write to me. And on the Coldplay’s concert, I just have to say that it was absolutely fascinating, the lights, the cameras, the sound, thebutterflies’ rain and the fact that I was at least 2 mt from these guys. I didn’t take any shot, but I did this illustration for the people who were there and the ones who weren’t; I hope you like it.

Estuve pensando en estos días que debería postear un poco más seguido (un buen consejo de mi gran amiga Alejandra) así que, voy a tratar de postear mis bocetos diarios al menos cada tres días, y así pueda practicar un poco más.
Mientras tanto, aquí está una pintura en la cual estoy trabajando… todavía está en progreso y no estoy muy segura de que pasará después, pero por ahora estoy contenta con lo que tengo.

I was thinking I should post more frequently (was a good advice from my great friend Alejandra) so, I’m gonna try to post a daily sketch or at least once each three days, and maybe I can get some practice.
Meanwhile, here is a painting I’m working on… It’s still in progress and I’m not really sure what will happen during the process, but, so far, I’m quite happy with it…

He estado muy contenta estos días o tengo que decir el último mes. He estado pintando y dibujando, y me he dado cuenta lo mucho que que mi línea y dibujo ha cambiado.
No he trabajado mucho en ilustración, hice una prueba de color en uno de los bocetos que más me gustó; estaba tratando de trabajar con una línea más suelta, ya que cuando trabajo con un boceto previo, suelo “limpiar” la línea durante el proceso. En todo caso, me gustó el resultado aún cuando no se parezca mucho a lo que suelo hacer.
Por otro lado, tengo una nueva pintura pero no tengo una buena foto, espero que para el próximo año tener una buena toma. De hecho, cuando estaba pintando, conocí personas realmente talentosas, la verdad me sorprendió y me sentí más motivada para seguir trabajando.
Por último, aquí están algunos bocetos de los últimos días y otros que hice en otra libreta [¡También una Molesnike!], Un intercambio de libretas con OcampoGiraldo.
Ahora, seguire trabajando y experimentando.

Working on my sketchbook
I’ve been very glad these days, or.. I have to say the last month. I’ve been painting and sketching, and I’ve realized how much my line and my drawing have changed.
I haven’t work to much in illustration; I did a color test in one sketches I really like. I was trying to work in a more loose line drawing, because when I’ve worked with previous sketches I used to “clean” the line during the process. Anyway, I like the result, even if it looks to different from what I use to do.
On the other hand, I have a new painting but I don’t have a nice photo, but I hope the next year I’ll have a good one. Indeed, when I was painting I’ve met real talented people, I was very surprised and more challenged to keep working.
Finally, here are some sketches from the last days and others I did in another sketchbook [A Moleskine! yay!], a sketchbooks exchange with OcampoGiraldo.
Now, I’ll keep working and experimenting.
