Hace mucho que no escribía.
Estos días he estado dibujando (algunas cosas que aún no puedo publicar) otras que no me gustaron así que tendré que repetirlas y otras que no valen la pena ser publicadas. Y por alguna razón, el tiempo se me ha ido de una manera que todavía no logro entender.
En todo caso, gracias a todos por visitar este blog y leerlo, a todas esas personas que entran porque querían o por accidente. Trataré de mantenerlo actualizado y de que valga la pena entrar aquí.
Por otro lado, llegó mi libro del arte de Toy Story 3. Absolutamente brillante.

I’ve been drawing, some stuff I can’t publish yet, other stuff I didn’t like that much so I have to repeat and others aren’t worth of publish. For some reason, the time has gone in a way I can’t understand.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who visit this blog and read it and to everyone who came here because they wanted or by accident. I’ll try to keep it update and worth it to be visit.
In other news, The art of Toy Story 3 just came up. It’s absolutly brilliant.

Mi propio Woody // My own Woody
Esta vez no pude evitarlo y tuve que escribir mi impresión de Toy Story 3. El viernes pasado, después de un año de larga espera, fui a ver Toy Story 3. La primera vez que vi los anuncios pensé que una tercera parte ya era demasiado para la historia y que muy probablemente, como muchas veces hemos visto, podría ser una parte muy desafortunada. Pero los avances fueron apareciendo y Toy Story me parecía cada vez más encantadora. No fue hasta ese viernes, en compañía de mis amigos que me di cuenta que esa película iba superar por mucho las expectativas que había tenido hasta entonces, y solo me faltaron los primeros diez minutos para saberlo.
Todo fue brillante, desde la calidad de la imagen que ha mejorado de una manera increíble a lo largo de estos últimos 15 años hasta la construcción del guión. Sin embargo, a pesar del gran manejo de tecnología que presenta la película, no podría ser lo mismo sin el guión, los diálogos, los personajes y al final el desarrollo del argumento, me atrevo a decir que todo es perfecto, cada aspecto y detalle de la historia estaban en el lugar y momento apropiado.
Para aquellos que crecimos con Toy Story, esta película es una magnifica conclusión, porque nos recuerda la primera y segunda parte, y además porque está llena de pequeños detalles que nos atrapa, mientras que al mismo tiempo sufrimos con cada terrible situación que viven los personajes. Y porque al final, no es una película que recurra a las situaciones o sentimientos predecibles, porque de alguna manera, al verla, se puede notar que todo el talento que está detrás de la película y son estas personas quienes están presentando una película sincera.
En últimas, es una película llena de sorpresas de todo tipo, donde incluso Barbie y Ken llegan a sorprender.

This time I couldn’t help it and had to write my thoughts about Toy Story 3. Last Friday, after a long year of waiting, I went to see Toy Story 3.
The first time I saw the announcements I though that a third part would be to much for the history and probably, like others we have seen, it would be a really unfortunate part. But, as the trailers were appearing, Toy Story 3 looked more and more charming. Wasn’t until Friday, in my friend’s company, I realized this movie will exceed all my expectations had until then, it just took the first ten minutes to know it.
Everything was brilliant, from the quality of the image which has improve in an incredible way for over 15 years, till the construction of the script. Despite the great use of the technology the movie has, it wouldn’t be the same without the script, the dialogues, the character and the final development of the argument; I dare to say the whole movie is perfect, every single aspect and detail of the history was in the proper moment.
For whom grow up with Toy Story, this movie is a great conclusion, ’cause it reminds us the first and second part and it’s full of little details which catch us; and, at the same time, we suffer with each horrible situation the characters li6ve. In the end, it’s not a movie that uses the same predictable situations and feelings, here you notice all the talent behind the movie and those people are showing an
honest movie.
This is a movie full of surprises of all kind, where even Barbie and Ken make us surprise.

He estado muy feliz por estos días ya que he estado trabajando en varios proyectos pequeños al mismo tiempo. Por ahora, terminé con una pintura que hace parte de la serie “Estampa”, aún no estoy segura de cuantas más pinturas saldrán pero estoy contenta con este resultado (sé que la fotografía es horrible pero prometo subir una mucho mejor con más tiempo).

I’ve been really happy these days ’cause I’ve been working in some small projects at the same time. I finished a Painting which makes part of “Estampa” series, I’m not sure yet how many more paintings will it have but I’m glad with the result (I know the photograph is horrible but I promise to upload one much better with more time).

Veamos, hace mucho no escribía. Sin embargo, he estado un poco ocupada trabajando en algunas pruebas de color en óleo, boceteando y haciendo un poco de pintura digital. Además, abrí una cuenta en Deviantart, ha sido muy interesante pero aún soy completamente nueva en esto, pero ha sido increíble conocer tantos artistas tan talentosos allí.

Prometí que iba postear con más frecuencia, pero no lo he hecho. Últimamente tuve mil cosas en la cabeza así que no hice mucho, y finalmente me estanqué, siento que debo empezar de alguna manera desde ceros así que empezaré hacerlo desde la otra semana, es hora de tomar riesgos.
Esta ilustración la hice hace ya varios meses pero no la había posteado, ahora que la vuelvo a ver sé que hay muchas cosas que cambiaría o mejoraría, supongo que tengo que seguir trabajando.

I promised I’d tried to post more frequently, but I didn’t. I had a lot of things going on in my head so I couldn’t do anything, and finally I got stock; I feel the need to start from scratch in some way so I decided to do it next week; it’s time to take some risks.
I did this illustration some months ago but I didn’t posted it, and now that I see it again I know there are some things that I’d change or make it better, I guess I have to keep working.

No he escrito como había prometido, pero al menos este es un post largo y con varias imágenes.
La última semana fue absolutamente increíble, pues fue el concierto de Coldplay y por el hecho de tener más años.
En cuanto a mi cumpleaños, gracias a todos los que se acordaron y me escribieron. Y en cuanto al concierto de Coldplay solo tengo que decir que fue absolutamente fascinante, las luces, las cámaras, el sonido, la lluvia de mariposas y el hecho de haberlos tenido a menos de 2 mt de distancia. Aunque no tomé fotos, hice esta ilustración para aquellos que estuvieron ahí y para los que no, igual espero que les guste.

I have not written as I promised, but at least this is a long post and has lots of images.
Last week was absolutely amazing: Coldplay’s concert in Bogotá and the
fact that now I have more years.
On my birthday, thanks to everyone who remembered it and write to me. And on the Coldplay’s concert, I just have to say that it was absolutely fascinating, the lights, the cameras, the sound, thebutterflies’ rain and the fact that I was at least 2 mt from these guys. I didn’t take any shot, but I did this illustration for the people who were there and the ones who weren’t; I hope you like it.
